larkesville Station has just released a new CD titled “Place in the Sun” and they’re excited about it. These are thought provoking songs that draw out true human emotions. They range in style from Pop/Rock/Blues/Americana and Country. They write about real life struggles and triumphs in a way that everyone can relate to. They write about love/aspiration/world peace/redemption and the pursuit of happiness. They write with their hearts on their sleeves.
With Bobby Boyd on drums and Chris Plunkett on bass, Clarkesville Station is developing a fresh unique American Roots sound. Chris Plunkett is a renowned bass player on the east coast and across the United States. He has toured with Hank Williams Jr. and did session work in Tennessee. Bobby Boyd studied under Bernard Purdie and has played with numerous well-known national artists.
Monroe Mullin, one half of Clarkesville Station is an outstanding songwriter, writing or co-writing all of the songs. He plays acoustic guitar and sings lead vocals on nice tracks. Steve Clarke, the other half of Clarkesville Station plays guitar, and piano/keyboards and sings lead on five tracks. Steve produced all the tracks, building a sound around their music in his studio and writing and co-writing many of the songs.
They love the music they create and hope you will to when you hear it. Their inspiration and desire is to get people thinking. And, as always, they wish you well.
Thanks,
Clarkesville Station
